The Kim Kardashian Of China Just Had An Insane $31 Million Wedding [PHOTOS]

There’s a lot of things you can do with $31 million. You could feed lots of hungry people, live in a mega-mansion, and probably retire pretty early. Or you can just blow it all on a wedding. That’s what Angelababy (real name Angel Yeung), who is known as China’s Kim Kardashian, did when she married actor Huang Xiaoming in front of 2,000 guests at a Shanghai ceremony this month.
And you thought those chicks on Say Yes to the Dress were crazy for going over budget.
How does one even blow $31 million on one day? Try having…

  • A pre-wedding photo shoot featuring the bride in custom Elie Saab gowns:
  • A holographic castle.
  • A ten-foot carousel cake that took about a month to make
  • Price gift bags for guests which included cellphones (for 2,000 guests).
  • Stain-glass window lights.
  • A giant wall of flowers.
  • A custom handmade Dior gown with 115 ft. of satin organza, 165 feet of tulle, a 10-foot train and approximately 100 handmade rose bouquets crafted out of Chantilly lace.
  • A $1.5 million wedding band from Parisian jeweler Chaumet with a five-carat pear-shaped diamond.

Kim and Kanye West’s wedding only cost a measly $12 million, so I guess the battle of the extravagant has been won.
Angelababy rose to fame through her modeling work which started when she was 14. She starred in a Japanese web drama Tweet Love Story in July 2010 and continues to make money through modeling and product endorsements.
