Following a long string of controversial concert rants and cancelling the rest his “Saint Pablo” tour, Kanye West was hospitalized in Los Angeles last night after someone called for medical support on his behalf. Details continue to emerge, but according to TMZ‘s latest report, it was West’s personal physician who made the 911 call and warned the dispatcher that while West was not violent at the time, he would become so once police arrived.
According to law enforcement, the call came in as a male with mental illness named Jim Jones. Dr. Michael Farzam explained to authorities that the 39-year-old stood at 5’8” and weighed 175 lbs., and suffered from “temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.” The doctor reportedly placed West on a 5150 psychiatric hold and wanted him taken to UCLA Medical Center after he allegedly attempted to assault a gym staff member.
