Fitz finally made it to Vermont last week and began by firing all of his staff. Fitz expressed his desire to live like a normal person and start purging out the aspects of his life from the Oval Office. Marcus soon joined him for some bro bonding over alcohol and guy talk.
Fitz really wants to help Mellie, but he has to wait 100 days because of his ex-husband/ex-commander status, and it was brought up where Olivia Pope will fit into the plan. She needs her own place because she’s obviously incredible and deserves it, but in the episode, Fitz didn’t want to talk about it. Fitz and Marcus got into a full-out brawl, throwing punches at each other, while Olivia was busy scaring her dad. His daughter does have free reign over everything, after all.
And then Fitz and Marcus made up and returned to the White House where Fitz caught Olivia Pope locking lips with Curtis Pryce. Whoops!
Tonight, while Olivia Pope is off running the world like the badass heroine she is, Mellie prepares for the upcoming Nuclear Summit with President Rashad and Prime Minister Nazari and the team at QPA works to solve an important case while dealing with a crazy love triangle.
