It’s never too cold for ice cream, and this weekend is the time to prove it. National Sundae Day is celebrated annually on November 11. Ice cream by itself is amazing, but when you make it into a sundae it just makes any bad day brighter.
By definition, a sundae is basically a dressed-up dish of ice cream. If I had to venture a guess, the classic sundae would be a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream topped with steaming hot fudge, whipped cream, nuts and a maraschino cherry. With more and more ice cream flavors coming into existence, the possibilities are endless. I prefer a cookie or brownie sundae myself. Nothing makes me happier than taking a bite out of a warm chocolate dessert paired with the mellow sweetness of vanilla ice cream.
So, how does one celebrate a holiday dedicated to ice cream? Go out and grab some! If you’re lucky, your local ice cream shops might be celebrating as well. Too cold? Well, it won’t satisfy your sweet tooth, but you can take a look at some funny jokes and memes.
