Dawson and Lisa Schwartz were together for four years and at one point were engaged. They broke off their engagement around the time Dawson came out as bisexual. On July 7, 2015, Dawson published a YouTube video coming out as bisexual. In December the couple broke up.
Schwartz is also a YouTuber and the two collaborated on tons of videos while they were dating and still do some things together.

Dawson and Garrett Watts dated briefly in early 2016. The regularly collaborate on YouTube videos, but they kept their brief fling under wraps. In Dawson’s “MEET MY EX BOYFRIEND” video he said that he met Watts through Tinder. They went on a few dates and then just decided to be friends and still are.

The couple announced their relationship on Instagram, despite being a Youtube star. “I just don’t want to hide this part of my life especially since it makes me happy,” Dawson wrote on Instagram. “Thank you guys for supporting me and for supporting the people in my life that I love.
