Pretty Little Liars only has two episodes left forever and the world is ready to finally find out who A.D. is. Even though A.D. will finally be revealed and fan theories will be supported or debunked, the ending of PLL is really sad. But luckily, there is hope for PLL fans. Showrunner and the mastermind behind the series, I. Marlene King, has her eyes set on a spin-off.
King said that there isn’t anything in the works right now for a new series, but it’s a huge possibility. “It’s not a for sure thing, but there’s some ideas swirling around out there,” King told Entertainment Tonight. “Everybody knows I love this world, I love to play in this world and I love these characters, so it would be fun to keep a few of them moving forward in their lives.”
When King was asked if she had an idea which PLL character the spinoff would be based on she gave a very nondescript answer: “Yeah, but I’m not going to say just yet who those characters might be.” Whoever is holding out on signing onto this spin-off needs to make moves ASAP because it’s sure to be a hit.
The girls from Rosewood sat down with Vulture and when they were asked who’d be best at the center of a spin-off, their answer was unanimous: Alison DiLaurentis. Lucy Hale was first to respond, saying that Alison has “such a messed up past” which means there are “so many places you could go” with the potential series.
Well, my DVR is set to record, but in the meantime, I’ll be checking out BTS photos of the PLL Museum and yearning for a visit to Rosewood.
