Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande have been everywhere since the lovebirds made their relationship public. Despite the saturation of news, Instagram comments and photos people still can’t get enough. It’s almost like when you start dating some out of the blue then weeks later get engaged, people want to know what happened!
Now we know how the two couple got engaged and it’s not traditional. But are you surprised? Nothing about this couple is uber-traditional.
The comedian and Saturday Night Live cast member did a surprised standup set for charity. Davidson performed at the A.V. Zogg Middle School in Liverpool, New York over the weekend and he talked about his engagement afterward during a Q&A.
An attendee tweeted that Davidson said he proposed to Grande while smoking weed in bed.

She followed up the tweet by saying she is not sure if Davidson was joking or telling the truth. Fans flooded her mentions and she cleared the air a bit. She said that the story wasn’t part of his standup. After his set he did a Q&A and her friend asked him how he proposed.

It’s unsure when the couple started dating and got engaged but it happened sometime late spring early summer. They made their relationship Instagram official on May 31. On June 11 the new couple was rumored to be engaged. Then on June 20, Davidson confirmed the news on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Fans think the couple is going to have a quick wedding too. They predict the couple is getting married on August 4 because the date has a significant meaning for the couple.
The two recently announced that they would be stepping away from social media for a while. Even though many of their fans are happy for them, a lot of them have been uber critical. Specifically, some Grande fans have been brutal to Davidson.
All things besides, I hope the two did get engaged while laying in bed smoking weed. It would be the most Grande/Davidson way to get engaged.
