Did you watch the Golden Globes last night? I did, and it really made me wish that I was a celebrity. A bunch of really beautiful people got together in gorgeous evening wear, drank champagne and gave out shiny little statues. Sounds great, right? Luckily the celebs had their phones out and were tweeting the night away!
Click through the gallery to check out some of the best celebrity tweets and twitpics from the show. Maybe if I think hard enough, I can imagine that it was me sitting at that table next to Zooey Deschanel… Read More »

I’m a professional blog editor. I define the word thrifty on a daily basis. In fact, some days I think I confuse thrifty with cheap…and occasionally even homeless-esque. So I’m always shocked to find people who are living even more within a modest budget than me. Especially when that person is an A-list celebrity.
Yesterday Zooey Deschanel’s lawyer released her income and expense declaration. Not only did we find out she has three million dollars just sitting around the bank, but she’s barely spending any of her $95,000 monthly income. She claims to only to spend $500 on eating out each month. Isn’t that like the cost of one dinner in LA? Oh and I should mention she donates money to charity on a regular basis.
Does this make Zooey my new favorite celebrity? Annoying voice, exaggerated quirks, and a weirdly spelled name aside, I think it does.

Is it safe to say most of us saw 500 Days of Summer? That self-indulgent, why-am-I-even-watching-this?, aww-he’s-so-whipped, just-love-him-already!, omg-she’s-such-a-bitch masterpiece? Yeah, well, then you’re well aware that Zooey “I’m just wearing this tiaria” Deschanel and JGL are pretty much the reigning queen and king of hipsterdom.
Think about it. If Brad and Ange — with their multicultural brood, gorgeous looks and endless swagger — are the regular person’s be all and end all of fabulosity, then Zooey and Joseph (Zoeseph?) are the emo kid’s equivalent. The whiney voices, the thrift store grandma sweaters, the depressed sighs…
And just when you thought your holiday season couldn’t get any cheerier, here are our two favorite people with a very enthusiastic, very upbeat question for you. Read More »

I have a confession to make- I love Zooey Deschanel. As in, I really love her. I want to be her and marry her all at the same time. She is one of my number one style icons and as far as I’m concerned, she could walk around in a snuggy and I would still think she looked amazing.
However, while always looking amazing, she sometimes makes some strange sartorial choices. Usually sticking to vintage style dresses and Mary Janes, she sometimes goes for something a little more quirky. Like this Moschino dress. Read More »

It’s basically impossible to be successful in Hollywood today without being a triple threat — or at the very least a double threat. Granted, there are plenty of tools to help you out with the whole music “threat” (auto-tune, lip-syncing, etc…), there are surprisingly a whole bunch of celebs who not only have their own bands, but are musically talented. While some of their side project bands led to record deals, some stars stick to their little indie band just as a way to escape from the industry for a bit. It’s kinda refreshing to see celebs with hobbies that don’t involve illegal drugs or flashing their vag at movie premieres. Read More »

The Sundance Film Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the year, especially for random D-List celebrities that haven’t gotten an invite to anything except Dr. Drew’s sober house since the late ’90s. I mean, what’s Andrew Keegan doing there?

The temperatures are dropping, scarves are being worn for warmth (not style), and your late summer glow has been replaced by rosy cheeks and a runny nose. The freezing weather makes it ever so difficult to unwrap yourself from the tight embrace of your down comforter and do anything remotely productive. Luckily, with winter break just around the corner, you can avoid the harsh realities of class, work, and responsibilities for a few weeks.
Break is exactly that.. a break. With all the required reading you’re given during the semester, it can feel like ages since you sat down with a book…for fun. So, we’ve compiled a list of 8 must-read classic English, classic American, and popular contemporary novels that should be enjoyed over break.
And, in light of the recent casting of Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan in Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of The Great Gatsby, we’ve picked a celeb for each novel that would be perfect as the hero or heroine. So check out our list, choose your favorite, snuggle up with a mug of hot chocolate, and escape from the world (and the cold) for a few hours by creating your own mental movie with the help of these texts.
