The pick up line. Is it a completely outdated concept that’s only relevant as punch lines in sit-coms and rom-coms and other things trying to be coms? Like the “three date” rule or the “wait two days to call” rule, has this ancient practice gone the route of the VCR? With Tinder or Grindr you don’t exactly have to come up with something snappy to entice someone. Here’s a list of some of the most unique, corny, hilarious, and ridiculous to be used in real life. My question to you, would any of them work?
Now, this list could go on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and…there’s no question about we’ve all heard a million of them. What are some of your favorites? What are some of your least favorites? Looking at this list of used pick up lines, I wonder how much the theory is true: Seventy percent is how you look, twenty percent is how you sound, and only ten percent of what you say means anything.
