On Tuesday night, a user on the anonymous social media app Yik Yak posted a threatening message warning students to stay away from the Mizzou campus. It read, “Some of you are alright. Don’t go to campus tomorrow.”
See the Yik Yak message and the reactions below.

The suspect has been tracked and arrested and was not located at or near the campus at the time of the threat, the university said on its website. As of this time, the suspect’s name has not been released.
This threat comes following a week of tension on the Mizzou campus. President Tim Wolfe resigned following his handling of race-driven incidents and students on campus have been continuing to protest in support of #ConcernedStudent1950.
A similar threat was posted on Yik Yak at Fresno State last week, but police found the poster to be football player Christian Pryor and arrested him before we could see if he followed through.
Posting shooting threats is no laughing matter. In the beginning of October, the shooter who opened fire at Umpqua Community College in Oregon and killed 10 people allegedly posted a warning to the online message board 4chan.
