The Most Googled Fashion Items This Year Were Extremely Nostalgic

90s nostalgia is strong – especially the fashion – and Google just confirmed this. Every year, Google releases a list of their shopping section’s most searched items. By comparing October online shopping trends of October of 2014 and this year, they are able to see the most popular trends.
So what were the results?
Adult onesies unfortunately topped the list. Unless they’re a “lounge around the house” purchase, I have no idea why are people Googling these.
The next item was unsurprisingly Adidas Superstars. While these have been popular shoes since Run DMC put them on the map back in the day,  I think it’s safe to say that Gigi Hadid and street style bloggers revamped this classic sneaker for a new generation. She wears them with literally everything and it always looks flawless. I’ll admit that after seeing Gigi making them look like a must-have wardrobe staple, I even considered getting a pair, which would be the first time in a good 15 years.
Superstars aren’t the only nostalgic item on that everyone is Googling. Bomber jackets and Levi’s are also making a major comeback. Thanks to Queen RiRi and many other celebrities who have been seen rocking all three of these pieces, it’s safe the say that they’re the reason for this search. Be prepared to see this look a lot more in 2016.
