Nicki Minaj’s older brother has reportedly been charged with raping a 12-year-old child.
According to NY Daily News, the rapper’s 37-year-old sibling, Jelani Maraj, was charged on Long Island and was freed from Nassau County jail this week after bail was set at $100,000.
Details of the alleged offence have not yet been released, including the date he is accused of raping the youngster.
Just three months ago, Nicki was in attendance at her brother’s wedding to fiancée Jacqueline Robinson at the Coral House in Baldwin, New York…for which she forked out about $30,000. She also allegedly left a $11,000 Emilio Pucca dress at the venue after choosing to wear a red number instead. (I mean, her net worth is nothing to scoff at.)
On an Instagram photo with her brother from the ceremony, she wrote, “I would cross the ocean for u. I would go & bring u the moon. Promise u. For u I will. I love my brother so much man. Can’t believe I cried during his wedding and his first dance like a punk. May God bless him and his union. Tonight has been one of my favorite nights of all time. I do anything to see my brothers smile.”
Nicki has not yet commented on the sad situation. She has three bothers (including Jelani Minaj) and a sister.
The rapper is always happy to spend some money for her family members. In addition to footing the bill for Jelani’s wedding, Nicki Minaj made headlines for throwing her little brother Micaiah an extravagant 16th birthday party in 2014.
