Monday nights are the time to watch drama and heartbreak unfold on our TVs as we watch our favorite Bachelor and Bachelorettes fall in and out of love each week. As a whole, our favorite Bachelor and Bachelorettes have a very small success rate together with 7 still together and 25 who have parted ways.
Although we have favorite couples we’ve rooted for through the years, here’s a look back at the past 10 seasons of The Bachelor and where the couples are now.
The Bachelor: Season 21
Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi found love together in the past season of The Bachelor and are still together. Nick had two failed proposals on previous seasons of The Bachelorette, but the couple is stronger (and cuter) than ever.
The Bachelor: Season 20
When Ben Higgins said “I love you” to both his finalists, the world was in shock. Ben ended up choosing Lauren Bushnell over Jojo Fletcher, but the couple lasted a little over a year before calling it quits in May, with rumors that the double “I love yous” to both contestants had a part to play in the breakup.
The Bachelor: Season 19
After six months together, Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff called off their engagement, releasing a joint statement to US Weekly saying, “Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement. They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey.”
The Bachelor: Season 18
After being one of the most controversial bachelors of all time, Juan Pablo Galavis continued to shock us by not proposing to (or saying “I love you”) to Nikki Ferrell during the final episode. The couple broke up in November 2014.
The Bachelor: Season 17
The best Bachelor couple to grace our TVs were Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici, who married in an ABC special on TV in January 2014. In July 2016, their first son, Samuel Thomas Lowe, was born, and now, the couple is rumored to be talking about trying for a second baby.
The Bachelor: Season 16
Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson ended their engagement following the season finale of Ben’s season and reconciled shortly by the time their After The Final Rose special aired. The two finally called it quits shortly after.
The Bachelor: Season 15
Season 15’s Brad Womack, pictured above with the show’s host Chris Harrison, and Emily Maynard split after the show wrapped, with Brad blaming himself for the end of this romance. Now, it’s hard to find any trace of Brad on social media while Emily is married with three children.
The Bachelor: Season 14
The last unforgettable engagement? Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi. The couple split up by phone after three months engaged. The best part of Jake’s explanation for the breakup? He had to prepare for a role on Drop Dead Diva, which was only a one-time appearance. Since his season, Jake went on to have guest appearances in The Bold and the Beautiful playing a pilot, which is ironic as he was actually a pilot before starting his reality TV journey.
Doesn’t look like Vienna has lost sleep over the breakup as she just took to Instagram recently to share the news that she’s expecting twins with Todd Allen, a race car driver.
It seems that the past eight seasons of our favorite guilty pleasure had two couples still together and six who have split. Let’s hope our new favorite Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay’s season has better odds!
