Season 2 Of ‘Riverdale’ Sounds Even Creepier Than The First

|

It’s official!

Riverdale has begun filming its second season and not only do we have a premiere date, we also have the names of the first three episodes.

Wednesday, October 11 you’ll be able to tune in and catch up with the gang with the premiere of episode 14, titled “Chapter Fourteen: A Kiss Before Dying.”

Each of the show’s episode titles references a scary movie or old-time thriller as inspiration, the first being a 1956 film about a murderous college student who plots someone’s death in order to marry an heiress.

The next episode, “Chapter Fifteen: Nighthawks” is inspired by a 1981 movie about DaSilva, a police officer who uncharacteristically agrees to scheme against an attention-hungry terrorist.

Finally, the third episode, “Chapter Sixteen: The Watcher In The Woods,” seems the most ominous. It references a 1980 scary movie about a family being terrorized by visions in relation to a cult. Seriously, even the poster for the episode is creepy.

What does it all mean?

Each of the movies most likely contains a clue as to the episode’s subject or possible events. Will there be a wayward cop, a forest stalker and a greedy plot for murder?

Connect those clues to the last season’s plots and cliffhangers and you may have some spoilers for the upcoming season.

The cast is hard at work making sure that the new season can live up to the magic of the first season.

They are staying mum about what will happen but have revealed a few, small details.

Are you excited for the next season of Riverdale?
