As the entire cast of Riverdale headed south to Comic-Con this year, fans were pleasantly surprised by the trailer for season two of the show.
In case you need a refresher, season one ended with #Varchie hooking up, Jughead throwing on that Serpent leather jacket as we all drooled to our TV screen and OH YEAH, Fred Andrews being mysteriously shot.
Since the minute season one ended, fans have already been begging for season two and this trailer will help tide us over, for a little bit at least.
The trailer shows the angry ~bad boy~ side of Archie, Cheryl acting as crazy as ever and the group’s quest to find out the masked shooter. From the trailer, it also seems like there is a good chance that Fred Andrews is going to survive, but that might just be wishful thinking on my part.
After a season of fan theories about who killed Jason (spoiler alert it was Clifford Blossom) has been revealed, there is still much to figure out in the town of Riverdale.
One fan theory is that this whole thing was actually just a figment of Jughead’s imagination or a dream. He is the one narrating it but at the end of the day he didn’t really even have that much to do with the situation except helping Betty figure out the truth but that was probably just because he was into her. High school boys only have a couple things on their mind, amirite??
Another theory is that even though we found out that Clifford Blossom was the one who actually shot Jason, Hiram Lodge is actually going to still have something to do with it. Mark Consuelos has been cast as Hiram Lodge meaning that his character is going to continue to have a role in the narrative and after all, he was the one who bought the drive-in land and got the Southside Serpents to destroy Andrew’s Construction.
At the end of the day, we will not know the full truth until October 11, 2017, when we can finally see shirtless Archie, Veronica’s amazing pop culture references, Bughead’s dreamy looks to each other and so much more. And I am not the only one who feels this way:
Along with the trailer, the cast released a blooper reel for season one, which just proves what we already knew — the Riverdale cast is #friendshipgoals.
Can I cuddle up in by bed watching re-runs of Riverdale until season two comes out? Let me know!
