The New Bachelor’s Ex-Girlfriend Has Some Tea To Spill

|

ABC

While the next season of The Bachelorette has swaths of intelligent, charismatic, accomplished, stunning young women to choose from (Kristina Schulman comes to mind) producers had a reportedly difficult time casting their 2017 Bachelor.

Instead of settling on the charming and likable Eric, who says he was never approached for the role (some fans are guessing due to his race), they made the for-many inexplicable decision to bring back Arie Luyendyk, Jr., a heartthrob from five years ago.

Not only does half of Bachelor Nation have little-to-no inkling of who Arie is, but others are raising questions about his character and eligibility for the show. Reality Steve himself calls him “the biggest dog” ever cast as lead in the franchise.

Oh, and his ex-girlfriend, Sydney, who he allegedly broke up with recently, has some WORDS about him.

“The show would be perfect for @ariejr up until it comes to choosing just one,” the 26-year-old tweeted just before Arie was announced as the next Bachelor.

We see you, Sydney, and encourage you to go on a future season of The Bachelor — that is, if they can break the losing streak of Nick Viall,  Chris Soules the Farmer, and Juan Pablo the… Worst. *shudders*

And this babe

Even on The Bachelor, there seem to be a floundering number of fish in the sea.

At least he can’t be as bad as Nick Viall. Right? Right?!
