The 60th annual Grammy Award nominations are out with Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars leading the pack. Jay-Z scored eight nominations with his album 4:44, while Lamar received seven and Mars received six for his album 24K Magic. Also receiving nominations were Lorde, Daddy Yankee, Justin Bieber, Alessia Cara, Khalid, SZA and more.
Of course, there were some upsets. Actually, from the way it looks on Twitter, there were more than just “some.” Don’t get me wrong: we’re loving that Lorde was nominated for Album of the Year, but where’s the justice and recognition for Demi Lovato? Fans are not too happy.
DEMI LOVATO DESERVED A GRAMMY!
DEMI WORKED HARD ON THIS ALBUM
SHE WORKED HARD LYRIC WISE
SHE WORKED HARD PRODUCTION WISE
SHE WORKED HARD OVERALL
SHE POURED HER HEART OUTAND THE #GRAMMYS REALLY GOING TO STEP ALL OVER THAT AND IGNORE TRUE TALENT!
I WANT JUSTICE! I WANT A RIOT! pic.twitter.com/igk7GsBSUP

#GRAMMYs are pure injustice, they've been doing this for the past seven years and the disappointment continues , but Niall is Grammy Worthy and so is #Flicker and that's all that matters.

Some were more positive, however, celebrating the fact that diversity was evident among the nominees.
Notice anything about the 2018 Grammy nominations for album of the year?
Childish Gambino: Awaken, My Love
Jay Z: 4:44
Kendrick Lamar: Damn
Lorde: Melodrama
Bruno Mars: 24K MagicThis is the FIRST TIME EVER no white guys have been nominated. EVER.#GRAMMYs #GrammyNominations

If Jay-Z won Album of the Year, he'd make Grammys history
as the first nonwhite artist to win in over a decade https://t.co/SGHdSdRqgh— VANITY FAIR (@VanityFair) November 28, 2017

Congratulations to Beyoncé and everything she put up with for Jay-Z’s Grammy nominations! That album was built off her back, all his awards will be credited to her. Thanks, management. pic.twitter.com/C7Y26r3qw3

And this reaction from Broadway favorite Ben Platt was just too cute.
