T-Pain is known for his catchy hits and his auto-tuned voice. His voice is what makes him known, but it also makes it hard to hear exactly what he’s saying.
Now he’s clearing the air about what the words are in his most famous songs. His tweets correcting the public about his lyrics are shocking. Seriously be prepared for your mind to be blown.
The first song is “Buy U A Drank” a classic club hit. The song features Yung Joc and came out in 2009. It immediately soared to the top of the charts and eventually became T-Pain’s first number one single on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Many people think that the hook goes, “I’ma buy you a drank. Ooh, wee. I’ma take you home with me.” But in fact, there is no “Ooh, wee” in the hook.

The world will never be the same.

The next song that T-Pain corrected is his feature on DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win” song. This song is still a banger. Emma Stone sang it when she was on Jimmy Fallon’s Lip Sync Battle segment on The Tonight Show. The clip has over 85 million views. It’s the second most watched The Tonight Show clip ever.

The most iconic part of the song is when T-Pain sings, “And everybody’s hands go up! And they stay there. And they stay there. And they stare there.” But that’s in fact not the right lyrics!

This is a hard pill to swallow.
YOU ARE LYING. YOU HAVE TWEETED A LIE. AND IM NOT EVEN IN THE MOOD RIGHT NOW.

Next time I sing along to a T-Pain song I’m going to have the lyrics in front of me the entire time.
