Omarosa Manigault Newman Net Worth 2017: How Much Is Omarosa Worth Right Now?

Omarosa Manigault, a White House aide and former star on The Apprentice, resigned from her position with President Trump yesterday evening.

Manigault has quite a history with Trump beginning as a contestant on his reality show. She was a controversial businesswoman on screen because of her manipulative behavior which ultimately drew Trump closer to her. Manigault travelled across the country as a part of a group of female Trump supporters to campaign for him as he ran for president. Her decision to resign came just a week following the departure of Deputy National Security Advisor Dina Powell which is leading to speculation over who else is clashing with the man in charge. But Manigault has paved a strong career and reputation as a powerful woman in politics. How much is she worth?

Omarosa Manigault Newman’s Estimated Net Worth as of 2017: $1.5 million

Let’s see how she got to where she is today.

1974 – 2003

Manigault was born in Youngtown, Ohio in 1974 and suffered a great loss when her father was murdered. She was only seven years old. Manigault worked hard and graduated from the Rayan School. She began working in the office of Vice President Al Gore in  1990 beginning as Special Assistant of Logistics and was later promoted to Deputy Associate Director of Presidential Personnel. Manigault got her bachelors degree in broadcast journalism from Central State University in 1996 and moved on to Howard University for her masters. She began to work towards a Ph.D in communications, but didn’t finish.

2004 – 2007

Manigault drifted into the public eye in 2004 after becoming a contestant on NBC’s reality show The Apprentice. She was particularly manipulative which resulted in her being named as “reality TV’s number one bad girl” by E! Manigault disagrees with her title as “villain” because she believes that if a man acted like her, he would be seen as strong, but when a woman takes on brash characteristics, it is seen negatively.

2008 – 2012

In 2008, Manigault was invited on Celebrity Apprentice, a spinoff of The Apprentice. She engaged in a personal argument with Piers Morgan which led to her getting fired in the 10th episode. In June of 2010, Manigault collaborated with Trump again for a new dating show called The Ultimate Merger.

2013 – Present

Manigault returned to television to appear on Trump’s All-Star Celebrity Apprentice and engaged in another feud which led to Trump firing her. In 2016, the reality star announced that she has been named Director of African-American Outreach for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. After Trump was victorious in the election, Manigault became one of the nine members on Trump’s transition team and later joined the White House staff as Assistant to the President and Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison. Her resignation from the White House will be effective on January 20, 2018.
