Justin Timberlake is back with new music. Today he announced that his new album is coming in a month. The preview for the album is rugged and woodsy. It’s like Justin took a step back from the limelight, had a kid and discovered nature.

Justin’s new outdoorsman image is a drastic turn from the pop futuristic vibe he always had. His second solo album was called FutureSex/LoveSounds and this new album is called Man Of The Woods. This isn’t a slow character development, this is a totally different person.
In five years Justin has gone from dropping a collab album with Jay-Z to a camping extraordinaire apparently.
Twitter is making fun of Justin’s new image, naturally, and I don’t blame them. It’s like he did a total 180-degree turn on his image without any warning.

A lot of people are criticizing Justin for “using” R&B to launch and advance his solo career and now switching to country. It’s very similar to the criticism Miley Cyrus received from Bangerz and Younger Now.
“Thanks for having me, niggas! R&B made me wealthy, but now it’s back to my roots.” -Justin Timberlake pic.twitter.com/WCCWVAGURV

His new album drops two days before his Super Bowl Halftime Performance, what a coincident! The last time Justin performed during the Super Bowl Halftime Show was with Janet Jackson when he ripped her shirt open on national TV and showed the world her nipple. Since then Justin has been forgiven for his mistake, but Janet not so much, which is white male privilege at its finest.
So now that he has new music coming out and the Super Bowl show people are calling him out for never apologizing to Janet.
I’ll buy a Justin Timberlake album when he asks Janet Jackson to join him at Super Bowl. Only then.

The only acceptable title for Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl album is “I’m Sorry, Ms. Jackson”.

Call me when Justin Timberlake walks into the woods with a big shovel and digs up an apology to Janet Jackson.
— Louis Virtel (@louisvirtel) January 2, 2018

We should have seen this country Justin coming. In November he posted a video of him throwing axes and standing in a grassy valley.
Country Justin is here, but how long do you think he’ll actually stick around?
