Siri may be effective at identifying the McDonald’s nearest you, but when asking her for relationship advice, proceed at your own risk.
Twitter user @CeciMula went viral this week for sharing her horrifying Black Mirror-esque saga of Siri’s complete and utter betrayal, and it has people tittering with equal parts sympathy and amusement.
“I JUST ASKED SIRI IF A CERTAIN BOY WOULD EVER TEXT ME AND SHE SENT A TEXT SAYING WILL YOU EVER TEXT ME TO HIM,” Ceci shared, to almost 600,000 likes. “My funeral will be held at 8pm this Thursday.”
Ceci explained in further tweets that when Siri confirmed that she wanted to send the text that she “hit send in a panic,” and was left on read — until the boy in question responded with a disappointing “haha.”

In retrospect, no I wouldn't have tweeted this if I knew it would eventually show up on his timeline. But honestly that's on you for leaving me on read 🙃

Update!! Received a text simply saying: "haha" funerals been pushed up! BYOB!

Twitter users have subsided into barely-veiled laughter at the exchange, and are offering their sympathies — and helping to plan the funeral (which, judging by the comments section, will be playing “Love on the Brain,” feature a cheese plate, and have a formal memorial ahead of the service).
Our hearts and prayers are with Ceci in this difficult time.
