Awards Season 2018: Dates & Schedule For 2018 Award Shows

It’s the beginning of the year and award season has officially been kicked off and is in full swing. Between The Grammys to the Academy Awards to the MTV Awards, here’s the entire awards show calendar for 2018.


Golden Globes

On Sunday, January 7 The Golden Globes will award the best in TV and film at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Viewers can tune into TBS at 8 p.m. EST to watch as Seth Meyers hosts.


Critics’ Choice Awards

On Thursday, January 11, the critics will award the Hollywood’s stars who, in their opinion, delivered their best work in entertainment. The show will air at 8 p.m. EST from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Actress Olivia Munn acts as host.


Screen Actors Guild Awards

On Sunday, January 21, the SAG awards will air live on two channels TNT and TBS at 8 p.m. EST. The ceremony will honor theatrical motion pictures, actors, television and stunt ensembles.


Grammy Awards

The recording academy will come together for music’s biggest night on Sunday, January 28, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The show will air live on CBS at 7:30 p.m. EST. James Corden will act as host.


Writers Guild Awards

On Sunday, February 11, the best writers in the world of entertainment will gather and be honored at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Patton Oswald will host.


BAFTA Film Awards

The British Academy Film Awards will take Hollywood’s biggest stars oversee’s to hold their 71st annual ceremony in London on Sunday, February 18.


Independent Spirit Awards

IFC will air it’s annual Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday, March 3, at 2 p.m. EST.


Academy Awards

The Oscars will go back to it’s stomping grounds at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles this year. Jimmy Kimmel returns as host and will broadcast a half hour earlier than the normal 8 p.m. EST on Sunday, March 4 on ABC.


Kids’ Choice Awards

John Cena will return as host for this year’s awards set to air on Nickelodeon on March 11. As the messiest awards show of the year, with random winners getting covered in green slime, this awards show is tailored for kids.


Academy of Country Music Awards

Country’s biggest night in music will take place on Sunday, April 15. Country’s best will receive their awards at the 53rd annual show that airs on CBS at 8 p.m. EST and will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.


Billboard Music Awards

This year’s Billboard Music Awards will air live from coast to coast on Sunday, May 20 at 8 p.m. EST. and for the first time will broadcast on NBC.


MTV Movie Awards

Broadway’s best will be honored on June 10 on stage at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The show will air on CBS.

Primetime Emmys

This year the Emmy’s are switching things up big time and will air on Monday, September 17 as opposed to their usual Sunday night broadcast. The 70th annual Primetime Emmys will air on NBC and will take place at the Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live in Los Angeles.


People’s Choice Awards

The people will get their opportunity to award their favorites in television, music, and film on Sunday, November 11. The 44th annual show is set to air on E!


American Music Awards

Music fanatics can tune into the American Music Awards live on Monday, November 19 on ABC.
