Reba McEntire has been slated to be KFC’s first-ever female Colonel Sanders, so cancel the marches and stop calling for pay transparency: sexism is officially over.
“I’m Colonel Sanders. The same as always: absolutely nothing’s changed,” the famed country singer croons in her new commercial. “Please ignore any likeness to famous country singers. I’m definitely not a woman.”
Consider the patriarchy smashed. At least, that’s the joke everyone made on Twitter as soon as they heard the surprising news.
Finally, women have broken the fried ceiling. Congratulations @reba

Always thought we'd have a woman president before we had a woman Colonel Sanders tbh.

While some are applauding and cracking up at the commercial, a mass of others are outraged that a woman is stepping into the conventionally male role.
