Unlike most other award shows and exclusive affairs that are centered around performances and speeches, the pinnacle of the Met Gala is the grand entrances of the celebrity guests as well as the attire they’ll sweep the ground with. Celebrities will prove that they wear clothing, not the other way around, as they don ostentatious outfits for the biggest night in fashion. Almost as noteworthy as what the guests will be wearing will be who they have on their arm. Selena Gomez and The Weeknd famously made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2017 Gala while the typically low-key Zayn and Gigi also made their own public appearance at the Gala the year prior. Live streams of the red carpet began just two years ago and this year, E! will be keeping up with the tradition. While you won’t be able to watch the fundraiser itself, you’ll be able to lust over the celebrities’ outfits. E! will be live-streaming the event on all platforms.
You can watch the red carpet for free on the E! website if you are already a customer of a participating cable provider. Vogue also live-streamed the event on Facebook last year and may just do the same this year.
