Earlier today Demi Lovato tweeted a simple sentence and it has since set off a chain of events. The singer, who recently announced that she broke her six years of sobriety, tweeted: “Good luck on your blog.”
Let’s break down the shade. For starters, the tone of this tweet is sarcastic af. If you can’t pick up on the tone of this tweet then maybe the internet isn’t the place for you. Just stick to puppy videos on Facebook you beautiful naive child.
Secondly, the word “blog” is a lowkey drag. The word blog has grown to have a negative connotation because anyone can be a “blogger” and start a blog, a blog is considered a step down from having a site or a publication and three bloggers are viewed at not having a “real job.” The shade is real.
Because her shady tweets comes after her single “Sober” dropped fans are connecting the dots and believe the tweet is about her ex-sobriety coach Mike Bayer. It appears that Bayer and Lovato have parted ways because she unfollowed him on Instagram.

Bayer was a producer of Lovato’s documentary Simply Complicated, where she opened up more about her struggles with sobriety and other personal aspects about her life. But now it looks like there is bad blood between the two.
After she unfollowed Bayer on Instagram, a fan asked Lovato what was the biggest lesson she’s learned this year. Lovato responded, “You can’t always trust people who you once thought saved you.”
Bayer recently posted a video of him dragging pop stars who make excuses for their behaviors. He didn’t name names but the timing is suspicious. In his video he said:
“I worked in entertainment for many years being a life coach for a lot of different pop stars and actors, and my biggest pet peeve is when they use excuses because they call themselves artists. I’m here today to explain to you that being an artist and being talented are two different things. To me, being an artist is living your authentic life. I believe everyone out there is an artist. Everyone. If you tap into who you truly are, you are an artist, you are a superstar, and you have everything in your life that you need to have. I think if somebody uses an excuse to be late, or insincere, or rude, or unapologetic, that’s not being an artist, that’s being a jerk. And you shouldn’t stand for that.”

Then Lovato tweeted “Good luck on your blog,” so what does this all mean? Well apparently Perez Hilton, yes, Perez freakin’ Hilton, commented on Bayer’s Instagram “Good luck on your blog.” Are you connecting the dots? Lovato used the shade that Perez threw at Bayer to also shade Bayer.
Lovato’s fans are being ruthless to Bayer. They have flooded his comments with the iconic five words, “Good luck on your blog.” Don’t worry fans are also dragging Hilton for being mean to Lovato on his own blog.
Lovato even liked one of her fan’s comments shading Bayer on Instagram.

It’s pretty obvious who Lovato is throwing shade at. Now we need all the juicy details of exactly what went down between the two.
