Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott covered GQ‘s August issue. The cover showed Kylie sitting on Travis’ lap in a high cut black bodysuit. Kylie’s pose puts the scar that she has on her left leg on display. The four-inch pale scar is on the lower part of her thigh. It’s hard to miss.

If you’re not a die-hard Kylie fan this is probably the first time you’ve seen her scar. It’s a little jolting to see a Kardashian-Jenner with a blemish, but Kylie embraces the scar on her leg.
This isn’t the first time she’s blatantly put her scar on display. In December 2015 she posted a photo of it with the caption, “I love my scar.”

If you’re wondering what the story is behind the scar, don’t worry it’s crazy and a little gruesome. During a fan Q&A in 2011, she explained how and when she got her scar.
“When I was about 5 my sister [Kendall] and I were playing hide and seek and I hid inside this really tall, enclosed gate,” the youngest Kardashian-Jenner explained.
“After a whole when my sister didn’t find me I had to climb up on this sharp pole sticking out from the gate. I slipped and the pole went into my leg. I tried pulling away to get the pole out but it just tore through my whole leg. It’s smaller now though because I grew!”
The story sounds so gruesome. Kylie didn’t say if she had to go to the hospital or if there was a ton of blood. But the scar used to take up a considerable portion of her leg, but you know she’s grown since she was 5-years-old.
Kylie shouldn’t be praised for having a scar, we are all humans and have scars. But it’s refreshing that it wasn’t photoshopped.
