LISTEN: Nicki Minaj’s New Album ‘Queen’

It’s finally here, Nicki Minaj‘s fourth studio album Queen has dropped!

It’s been a long winding road for Queen to get here, but thankfully the day has come. Back in April 2018, Minaj went on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio show to drop two new singles and announce her new album.

Her album release date was up in the air for some time. Queen was initially supposed to come out earlier in the summer, but then Minaj pushed it back to August 10. Just last week Minaj announced that Queen would be coming out a week later than it was supposed to on August 17. The reason behind Minaj’s pushback was because she didn’t have a Tracy Chapman sample cleared.

This caused controversy because her longtime collaborator and friend Ariana Grande‘s album is dropping that day. Fans were worried the duo would have a rift about who got the number one spot on the charts. Grande and Minaj both had to tweet that there isn’t any bad blood between them and they support each other.

Turns out fans worried all for NOTHING because during Minaj’s debut Queen Radio show she announced her album is dropping tomorrow, August 10.
