Modern Family is back for its 10th season. A lot of major things have happened since season nine wrapped up. For starters, the show wasn’t nominated for an Emmy, the first time ever since the show started. The show won Outstanding Comedy Series for the first five seasons at the Emmys and has been nominated every year after that except for 2018.
It was also teased that a family member will die this season. The co-creator Christopher Lloyd told Entertainment Weekly that the family is dealing with death because a major character will die this season. Lloyd promises the character’s death “will be a moving event – and an event that has repercussions cross several episodes.”
It’s doubtful the character will be axed in the very first episode so I wouldn’t worry too much about shedding tears of sadness tonight. The family celebrates the Fourth of July with a big parade.
