Pete Davidson had the best summer, then the worst fall. The comedian began dating Ariana Grande in May 2018 and within a few weeks, the two were engaged. Their quick romance sparked a bunch of quick proposals during the summer. But it all came to a halt when news broke on October 14, 2018, that the couple split and called off their engagement.
Neither of them has spoken about their split since. Grande alluded to it in a few Snapchat stories but hasn’t spoken about it explicitly. Davidson broke his silence about their breakup this past weekend at a comedy festival.

Davidson was co-hosting the Judd & Pete for American comedy show benefiting Swing Left at Largo at the Coronet in West Hollywood. He was co-hosting with Judd Apatow. Davidson has canceled a few upcoming shows, but decided not to cancel the benefit show.
“Well, as you could tell, I don’t want to be here. There’s a lot going on,” Davidson told the crowd according to E! News. “Does anybody have any open rooms? Looking for a roommate?”
Over the summer Grande purchased a $16 million apartment in New York City for her and Davidson. Davidson talked about their expensive apartment on Saturday Night Live. He said that he is “comfortable” being with a successful woman. “I live at her place. She pays like $60,000 for rent and all I have to do is stock the fridge, yeah,” Davidson said on SNL.
He not only joked about needing a roommate, but he also made jokes about his multiple Grande inspired tattoos he has.
“Um, I’ve been covering a bunch of tattoos, that’s fun,” Davidson said during his set. “I’m f**king zero for two in the tattoo [department]. Yeah, I’m afraid to get my mom tattooed on me, that’s how bad it is.”

Davidson and Grande got multiple matching tattoos and tats inspired by one another. Davidson had a penchant for getting tattoos of his girlfriends. He also got a tattoo of his ex-girlfriend Cazzie David that he had to cover up.
“So obviously you know I, we broke up or whatever but when me and her first got engaged we got tattoos,” Davidson said. “And it was like in a magazine like, ‘Was Pete Davidson stupid?’ and 93% of it said yes. So my boy, he was like, ‘Don’t listen to that s**t man. They’re literally f**king haters.’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, f**k that. I’m not stupid.’ And the other day we were in my kitchen and he was like, ‘Yo bro. Turns out you were stupid.'”
Supposedly Davidson is living with his family at the moment and is leaning on his friends to get over the heartbreak. Do you think Davidson and Grande will be getting back together?
