No one was dozing off during this graduation speech. As we predicted/hoped she might, Maya Rudolph busted out some of her most well known SNL impressions during her commencement speech at Tulane University this weekend. The class of 2015 saw “guest appearances” from Oprah as well as her infamous Beyoncé in the middle of an extremely over-the-top version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” mashed with “Take Me Out to the Ball Game”…and you’ll also catch some snippets of “Single Ladies” and “Drunk in Love” if you listen closely.
Skip to the 12 minute mark for the national anthem that had even the professors cracking up, but Maya’s speech is worth a listen as well. I mean, she does address a new grad’s biggest challenge: being sober during the day.
