Taylor Swift is very particular about her backup dancers. Katy Perry “stole” a few of her dancer’s way back when which ignited their long-standing beef. The two only buried the hatchet the other week when Perry literally sent Swift an olive branch before she embarked on her seven-month long “Reputation Tour.” But when one backup dancer drama ends another one arises. Supposedly Swift fired Kim “Toshi” Davidson, one of her backup dancers, for posting sexist memes on his Instagram story.
According to the Daily Mail, Toshi wasn’t performing during her BBC Radio’s Biggest Weekend headlining performance on Sunday. The two are very close but supposedly got into a fight before the performance because Toshi posted sexist memes on his Instagram story.

After his rumored firing Toshi made his Instagram private. Fans screenshot his problematic posts and spread them on the internet, so even though his profile his private now the damage is done.
One of the sexist posts in question is a meme about the Australian women’s soccer team. “Australia’s national women’s soccer team lose 7-0 to an under FIFTEENS boys’ side,” is the headline. underneath the headline is a sticker that says, “Back to the kitchen.”
One of the other sexist posts is a meme that says, “Every girls weakness,” followed by a bunch of heart emojis. Underneath are four photos of a rag, chloroform, a windowless van and a forest. The meme alludes to sexual assault.
Taylor kicked off one of her assistant dancers after he had put inappropriate leaflets on the tissues that supported sexual harassment and rape and mocked women.

In August 2017 Swift won her sexual assault lawsuit against radio host DJ David Mueller. Mueller groped her during a meet an greet photo session roughly four years ago. Even without her own experience with sexual assault, Swift should still care if one of her backup dancers is posting sexist and abusive memes.
This isn’t the first time Toshi and Swift have made headlines. In 2015 Swift donated $50,000 to Toshi’s 13-month-old nephew Ayden, who was diagnosed with cancer. Their initial goal was $20,000.
“Baby Ayden, I’m lucky enough to perform with your uncle Toshi on tour,” Swift wrote on Ayden’s GoFundMe page. “All of us are praying for you and your mama and sending so much love your way. Love, Taylor.”
Toshi wasn’t the only backup dancer missing on Sunday. According to fans, three of her regular tour dancers weren’t performing as well. The BBC performance isn’t a regular “tour” stop and there was no confirmation from Taylor’s camp about Toshi being fired.
Fans will just have to sit tight and wait until her next “Reputation” show to see if Toshi is on stage.
