Trying to figure out what just happened between Ricky Gervais and Mel Gibson at the Golden Globes? You’re not alone.
The censor button was on double duty when host Gervais introduced Gibson to present Best Motion Picture – Drama nominee Max Mad: Fury Road.
“I want to say something nice about Mel before he comes out. Here we go. I’d rather have a drink with him at his hotel room tonight than with Bill Cosby,” the host cracked before Gibson took the stage.
When Gibson got to the mic, he said, “I love seeing Ricky once every three years because it reminds me to get a colonoscopy.”
Ricky then came back on stage to grab his pint of beer he left on the podium (God forbid!) and said, “Can I ask you a question? I think we all want to ask you this.” He then whispered in Mel‘s ear, but what he said was censored.
Los Angeles Times reporter Amy Kaufman was in the crowd and she tweeted that what Ricky said was, “What the f–k does sugartits even mean?”
"What the f–k does sugart–s even mean?" -Gervais to Gibson. I'm here to bring you all the live cursing, guys. #GoldenGlobes

For a second, it looked like Gibson was going to punch him in the face… maybe if they weren’t on live TV, he would have.
Um, awkward much?
