When it comes to Elf on the Shelf, there is plenty to fear about an all-knowing stuffed spy reporting back to Santa and hiding in different places around the house like a wily Toy Story villain.
Still, the elf’s well-being should not be one of them.
Pink shared her daughter Willow’s letter to Santa on Instagram this week, in which the six-year-old hilariously laments that she’s worried about her Elf on the Shelf Chippy.
“Santa, I am worried about Chippy,” Willow writes, including a drawing of the elf. “He has been in the same spot for 3 days. I don’t know why.”
“Translation: MOM FAIL,” Pink joked in the caption. “#elfonthesamedamnshelf.”
Moms are relating hard to the “fail” in the comments, sharing their own tales of Elf on the Shelf woes.
“I put the box on the shelf and forgot to take the elf out.”
“We’ve all been there.”
“I always just say he’s sleeping.”
Hey, even Santa’s spies have to get tired sometimes, right?
