Taylor Swift is among some of the few artists that are unmatched when it comes to songwriting. While Drake is a master at writing bars, no one can write a love or breakup song quite like Taylor. After a long three years without any new material from her, her sixth album has dropped and we finally have songs to listen to when we’re feeling vengeful or celebrating a new love.
Reputation is released in the same year that Taylor allowed her past albums to be shown on Spotify after upholding a few years of strict copyright standards. As indicated by the album art, in which half of the photo is covered in newspaper writing with Taylor’s name in headlines, the album addresses Taylor’s rocky relationship with the media and some of the celebrity feuds that have tarnished her once squeaky clean image. She’s come a long way over the years, from transitioning from country to pop, to evolving her songs after several albums dedicated to romantic relationships.
Reputation was released on November 10 but wasn’t available on streaming services until December 1.
