Demi Lovato is very outspoken about her mental health and her fight to destigmatize mental illness. The singer is turning her beliefs into actions and is providing free group therapy sessions for all of her concertgoers.

Lovato announced on Good Morning America that during her two-month-long tour with DJ Khaled she will be bringing CAST Centers with her too. CAST Centers is a treatment and wellness program that Lovato herself used to attend and now co-owns.

On CAST Centers’ website, it claims that they “treat the whole person: body, mind and soul.” They help treat people suffering from addiction, depression, anxiety and co-occurring disorders.

“It’s important that I use my voice for more than just singing, and I just know how important it is to use my platform to help others and to share my story in hopes it inspires people to either get into recovery or better themselves,” Lovato told host Robin Roberts. “I think it’s very important to take away the stigma of mental illness.”

Lovato and CAST Centers are organizing wellness sessions before every show. The sessions are free for anyone with a concert ticket and are 16 years or older. Anyone who is interested can sign up online and you can also sign up to volunteer for the sessions. It doesn’t specify if the sessions are accepting drop-ins or if you have to sign up beforehand online.

Lovato says that concertgoers can also donate to local mental health charities as well. “It’s basically like a therapy session before the concerts, and we have speakers from all over, and we’re also helping out with different charities from around the country, so it’ll be incredible and a very moving and inspiring experience.”
