Demi Lovato’s younger sister, Madison De La Garza, has given the world and her fans an update on Lovato’s health.
Back in July 2018, Lovato was hospitalized for an apparent drug overdose. Lovato supposedly overdosed on Oxycodone laced with fentanyl. Her assistant found her unconscious in her bed and Lovato was revived with Narcan before being taken to the hospital via ambulance.
At the time of her hospitalized TMZ falsely reported that Lovato overdosed on heroin. After the wild speculation, her team released a statement saying she is okay and that “some of the information being reported is incorrect” and to respect the family’s privacy.

Lovato was released from the hospital two weeks later and posted a statement on her Instagram. In her post, she said her addiction is a journey and she is focusing on her sobriety and healing for now. She shortly entered rehab and reached her 60th day in rehab. She hasn’t given an update on her health since, which is fair considering she’s in rehab.

Now Lovato’s younger sister is giving everyone an update on her health. De La Graza was on Popcorn Talk to talk about her new movie, Subject 16, when asked about her sister’s health.
“She’s doing really well,” De La Graza stated. “She’s working really hard on her sobriety and we’re all so incredibly proud of her. It’s been crazy for our family. It’s been a lot. But we’ve been through a lot together.”

“Every time we go through something, we always come out on the other side of a hundred times stronger than before,” she continued. “We’ve just been so thankful for everything, for all the little things.”
In September Lovato’s mom spoke out about her overdose. Dianna De La Garza said she had no idea Lovato was being rushed to the hospital when TMZ broke the news. She said that once at the hospital they didn’t know for two full days if Lovato would have made it.
