Get out of the same routine that you have been in for a while not. Maybe become a morning person and wake up earlier or create a focus on your personal self-care. Or simply eliminate some bedtime habits that may be harmful to your day. Maybe go out to a restaurant, go on a walk alone or meditate a few times per week. Stop drinking your five cups of coffee that you’ve drunk for 5 years. However, you choose to change your routine, make sure you are making changes to challenge your comfort zone.

2. Make A New Friend

Are you happy or just comfortable? Do you adore the people you surround yourself with or is it more comfortable to just stand by them? These are some of the many questions that may cause you to feel things.

It is in the comfort zone that these feelings get erased, but we promise that actually reflecting on your feelings will lead you to a happier place and trying new things.¬†Feeling things can be hard–here is a list of some resources where you can keep track of your feelings.

No one is perfect. In the comfort zone, you will never fail. But that’s not a positive thing–failure leads to better accomplishments and self-improvement. Being a perfectionist is often part of the comfort zone. If you’re perfect all the time no one will scrutinize you, and you will never grow. Stop being afraid to try new things which you might fail at. Start that blog you’ve always been thinking of doing or try Crossfit. Give that alum speech at your high school for their job exposition. If you never do things you’ve wanted to do forever, then you will just remain stuck.

5. Open Up To Your Loved Ones

Shutterstock

It can be challenging to open up to your loved ones about your struggles or even your issues with them. There is no better way to progress a relationship than to open up and be honest. It is always more comfortable not to talk about your innermost struggles or opinions. But your loved one will be guaranteed to react positively and may even open up to you also. This is one of the most difficult ways to step out of your comfort zone, but it will be worth it.

However you choose to escape the comfort zone, we support you. You got this!
